Description

Toník was born in the summer of 2017. His finders came across him when, as a small piglet, he was running about the road in confusion. We do not know exactly what happened to his mother, but she was probably hit by a car. He was reared at the ČSOP Vlašim wildlife rescue centre and has lived in our zoo corner since August 2017. He often has lung trouble, catches cold easily and runs a temperature. He is a very fussy eater, but when he is ill he has no appetite at all. He is very fond of his keepers, knows how to give them kisses and can lie down on command.
Chrchla had breathing difficulties right after she was born and kept coughing. That is where her unusual name comes from. Because of her health problems she stayed here with us in the zoo corner. She has been used to the keepers since she was small and likes being scratched by them. She does not trust strangers, though, and shows it when she is frightened. On hot days she likes to rest in the shade with her head resting on Toník.
