When does an animal need help

How do you know when our help is really needed? And how do you provide it properly?

Human civilisation creates a great many problems for wild animals. We keep taking away their natural habitat and building over it with new buildings, roads and other structures. Many animals are injured or killed outright: they fly into glazed buildings and noise barriers, and are hurt by farm machinery. But there are also situations that look to us like a clear case for intervention, while from the wild animal’s point of view everything is perfectly normal.
