There was plenty of good food in the yard as well, so he decided to stay. The local cockerel was not at all pleased about it, but the owners of the house decided to keep Ludv\u00edk for the time being, until an owner turned up. Two more months went by and it still proved impossible to find out where Ludv\u00edk had come from. The local cockerel grew more and more nervous about the situation and his quarrels with Ludv\u00edk were dangerously escalating. In the end the owners brought Ludv\u00edk to us, because life in the henhouse had become impossible. So that Ludv\u00edk would not miss company, we found him <strong>Leont\u00fdnka<\/strong>, a female common pheasant. The vet who looks after our animals brought her from a pheasantry where she was carrying out parasite research at the time.
