{"id":6490,"date":"2026-08-04T15:55:03","date_gmt":"2026-08-04T13:55:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/zachranazviratpraha.cz\/helping-animals\/when-does-an-animal-need-help\/how-to-help-injured-animals\/"},"modified":"2026-08-04T15:55:03","modified_gmt":"2026-08-04T13:55:03","slug":"how-to-help-injured-animals","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/zachranazviratpraha.cz\/en\/helping-animals\/when-does-an-animal-need-help\/how-to-help-injured-animals\/","title":{"rendered":"How to help injured animals"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to recognise injured animals that need help:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>they move with difficulty or unnaturally &mdash; birds cannot fly, mammals limp or cannot stand up,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>they are visibly injured, have open wounds or are bleeding,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>they are infested with parasites &mdash; flies circling around them, eggs or fly larvae in wounds or in the fur,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>they are active at an unnatural time &mdash; nocturnal animals (hedgehogs, bats) during the day, or hibernators (hedgehogs, bats, dormice) during winter,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>they are somewhere they cannot get out of on their own &mdash; a deep pit, a flat, a light well, a chimney and so on.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group info blue\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What to do:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Call our rescue centre emergency line at <a href=\"tel:+420773772771\">+420 773 772 771<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you can manage it, catch the animal gently, place it in a box (if its size allows) and put it somewhere quiet and warm.
